Angelica Lorena Velasquez, 45, West Hartford, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer on Wednesday March 6th, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. She was born in Barranca, Peru on March 27th,1973 to Ferrer Zevallos and Eugenia Oliva and was the youngest of her siblings (Zoila, Dora, Gladys, Pilar, Isaias, Luis,Edwin and Bertha). She got married on July 30th, 1994 to her beloved Emilio Ricardo Velasquez and soon moved to the United States where they would settle down in Hartford, and then shortly thereafter, in West Hartford. Angelica and Emilio welcomed their first child, Ricardo (Ricky) Velasquez, in May of 1995 and their second child, Roger Velasquez, in April of 1997. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, cousin, and aunt who cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading her Spanish soap operas, building puzzles,creating arts and crafts, and watching movies with her kids. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Emilio Ricardo Velasquez, as well as he two sons Ricardo (Ricky) and Roger Velasquez, her siblings Zoila, Dora, Gladys, Pilar, Isaias, Luis, Bertha, and her mother Eugenia. She was predeceased by her father Ferrer Zevallos. Calling hours will be held at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110, on March 10th from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. Service will be held the following day on March 11th at Saint Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110 at 10:00 a.m.
