Robert “Bob” C. Simmons, 86, of West Hartford, husband of Geraldine (Geremia) Simmons died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Hartford, son of the late Albert J. and Kathryn (Bolger) Simmons he attended New Britain schools and St. Thomas Seminary, Bloomfield. A resident of West Hartford since 1957, he was the owner of Clinton Associates of West Hartford since 1969, retiring in 1996. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Nemeth of West Hartford and a sister, Norberta S. Barrows of New Britain. He is also survived by three grandsons, Michael A. Nemeth, Robert C. Simmons, II and Michael P. Simmons and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Marc Simmons and a sister M. Phyllis Weir. Funeral procession will be Saturday, (Oct. 27) 10:30 am from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11:00 am in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral procession from 9:30-10:30 am at the funeral home.
